Message:

The following issue has been deleted from JIRA.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MAVEN-1
    Summary: dist:deploy should respect <distributionDirectory>
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Major
 Resolution: FIXED

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven

   Assignee: Jason van Zyl
   Reporter: bob mcwhirter

    Created: Mon, 29 Jul 2002 7:31 AM
    Updated: Thu, 1 Aug 2002 9:06 PM

Description:
The dist:deploy target, for some odd reason, assumes the distribution directory is "/turbine/jars2/${pom.id}/distributions" and ignores whatever is held in <distributionDirectory> in the POM.

Many folks distribute from sourceforge or their own infrastructure.

Work-around is to set your real directory in project.properties using maven.remote.dist.dir property.
