[jira] [Commented] (HIVE-10276) Implement date_format(timestamp,
fmt) UDF
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-10276?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14696883#comment-14696883 ]
Amareshwari Sriramadasu commented on HIVE-10276:
------------------------------------------------
The implementation done here does not look SQL compliant. For ex: D is day of year in SimpleDateFormat (https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html), but is month of the year on SQL : https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/date-and-time-functions.html#function_date-format
