[jira] [Created] (LUCENE-10273) Deprecate SpanishMinimalStemFilter in favor of SpanishPluralStemFilter
Robert Muir created LUCENE-10273:
------------------------------------
Summary: Deprecate SpanishMinimalStemFilter in favor of SpanishPluralStemFilter
Key: LUCENE-10273
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-10273
Project: Lucene - Core
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Robert Muir
The new SpanishPluralStemFilter is in fact much more minimal.
Analysis: https://s.apache.org/spanishplural
Original Issue: LUCENE-10248
Discussion on PR: https://github.com/apache/lucene/pull/461
Because the new stemmer does this job better (without side-effects such as normalizing {{ñ -> n}}), I think we should deprecate and point to the new one. We can deprecate in 9.1 and remove in 11?
