CPU Affinity in a cloud environment

Hello Mesos Developer community!

I didn't want to hijack the other CPU Affinity thread, so here's a
different question:

Has anyone on this list tested the major cloud providers (including AWS,
GCP, Azure) to see if CPU affinity actually *WORKS* on those virtualization
schemes?

Since the NUMA topology of the machines is abstracted away and not
necessarily guaranteed visible to a guest OS, is there any way the efficacy
of CPU Affinity in a virtual cloud environment can even be validated?
