time not supported in date ranges

           Summary: time not supported in date ranges
           Product: Lucene
           Version: CVS Nightly - Specify date in submission
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: QueryParser
        AssignedTo: lucene-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jjayaprasad@participate.com

It would be great if time was supported in date ranges. I believe it is a simple
change in QueryParser.jj to do this. It should be as simple as changing the
following line in QueryParser.jj.getRangeQuery():
    DateFormat df = DateFormat.getDateInstance(DateFormat.SHORT);
TO
    DateFormat df = DateFormat.getDateTimeInstance(DateFormat.SHORT,
DateFormat.SHORT);
