[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-161) Support Hive 0.11.0 via JDBC+ODBC/Thrift/HTTP

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-161?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13836951#comment-13836951 ]

Kevin Minder commented on KNOX-161:
-----------------------------------

Hive 0.11 does not support HTTP for either JDBC or ODBC. Some support for this has been added for Hive 0.12 and Knox provides support for that. At this time Hive only provides a JDBC driver that works with HTTP and this only works for non-secured Hive.

> shows no support of hive/jdbc or hive/odbc for version 0.11.0 which is actually last stable version of hive i.e.0.11.0 instead it has support for non stable version 0.12.0, can we make an improvement in knox-0.3.0 to support last stable version of hive
