maven release plugin issues with perforce

I'm having an issue with the maven release plugin on perforce.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what is wrong, because the error message
is hidden. Here is the error I get:

[INFO] Unable to commit files
Provider message:
Unable to submit
Command output:

Is there any way to get the provider message, or command output?

I'm using perforce with ticket auth, and I'm using maven 2.0.9.
