FYI: I have now automated a daily build of all the projects covered by Gump
against Xerces 2.  You can see the results here:

For reference, here is the results of compiling the exact same sources a
few hours earlier using Xerces 1:

   http://nagoya.apache.org/~rubys/gump/base/index.html

The current failures are in Xalan and Axis.
