Can you point to an RFC that can help explain the correct behavior?  SMTP barely
defines it and POP3 isn't too clear either.  SMTP seems to just say a "."
surrounded by line feeds should get stuffed, but POP3 seems to be more rigorous
in defining the <CRLF> sequence.  Maybe we need two stuffing outputstreams?

Any clarification on the bug report would be appreciated.
