[Bug 3513] New: spamc tests hang in Windows using Cygwin spamd

http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3513

Summary: spamc tests hang in Windows using Cygwin spamd
           Product: Spamassassin
Version: SVN Trunk (Latest Devel Version)
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: Regression Tests
        AssignedTo: spamassassin-dev@incubator.apache.org
        ReportedBy: sidney@sidney.com

This may be my configuration problem, but I want to get a bug filed for it while
I investigate. I built the latest svn under Cygwin and Windows, then ran a make
test on the Windows side with SPAMD_SCRIPT environment variable set to
  \cygwin\bin\perl -w -T /bin/spamd

When the test gets to t/spamc_B.t all 8 tests succeed and then the test hangs,
apparently not recognizing that the spamd process has ended.

This used to work. I haven't yet tracked it back to see when it stopped working.
It also occurs to me that there may be a problem in general with the test script
expecting to start and stop the spamd process when it is being run on another
system, or in expecting to be able to use a test configuration for spamd when
testing spamc.
