[ANNOUNCEMENT] Apache FOP 0.91 beta released

(Third time's the charm ;-))
The Apache FOP team hereby notifies you all of the release of FOP
0.91 beta, which includes various updates and bugfixes based on user
feedback to the 0.90 alpha 1 release from about a month ago.
The changes made since 0.91 alpha can be found here:
The following page contains the links to the various distributions:
To those of you still using FOP 0.20.5 we would like to repeat the
request to go ahead and try out the redesigned FOP. The more feedback
we get, the more likely it becomes that certain features and
enhancements will find their way into the codebase. If you encounter
problems when upgrading, please check the following page first:
If the answer to your particular problem isn't mentioned there, the
FOP Team will be at your disposal on
fop-users@xmlgraphics.apache.org to help guide you to a working
solution.
Code-grinders are, of course, always welcome to check out the source
distribution and offer any ideas for enhancement and/or improvement
on fop-dev@xmlgraphics.apache.org.

Hmm, actually I think we're not very clear about what we really mean
with our version numbers. We don't really have a loner-term strategy,
yet. If think of the current release like this: We're at version 0.91 en
route towards a stable 1.0 (however this will look like) and we are
indicating the overall/average stability of the code as "beta".

This isn't important for my users needs. RenderX didn't implement
automatic table layout until version 4.x of XEP. I belive this is
because most documents don't need it.
If it is key for your documents, then why not have a go at implementing
it yourself? We would be very grateful for any code contribution ;)

Automatic table layout has not been completed yet. Jeremias has only
written some ideas on how to implement it.

I'd still *really* like to see automatic table layout in 1.0...
Decimal cell alignment would also be nice, but is not as critical by a
long shot.

This is a beta of 0.91... We still have a few things we hope to have
implemented before the 1.0 release (I believe mainly 'font' related
stuff...). In addition, although it is very powerful, we are still
finding a few bugs with each release.
BTW, at this point, our goal in establishing new releases is to
generate excitement, and users (who aren't eager to build & use from
TRUNK). You can find out more about our status (and where we need
