I pulled part of this patch into 2.6.1 as a dependency for other UI fixes following YARN-1809.

This includes only the parts that included the UI code refactor. So, technically the original bug raised in this JIRA doesn't exist today and is so not fixed in 2.6.1, but the git log and change log will show as such.
