commandLink question

I was wondering -- has anyone has found a work-around to prevent link_hidden 
parameters from being added to commandLink URL's when ALLOW_JAVASCRIPT is set 
to false?  I have quite a few pages that I'd like users to be able to 
bookmark, but the formName:_link_hidden=... parameters added to the Request 
String are just plain ugly.

Why is this parameter even needed by JSF?
