Get User Name IN LOG

Hi,

I was just wondering if i can get the USER name or the
IP address of the USER in the Log, but not a part as a
message, but some where else like say NDC,
if so how, so i can sort the messages on USER id or on
IP address of the clients in intranet envoirnment
Also can i customize the output of
org.apache.log4j.xml.XMLLayout,
if so how, can anyone provide an example.
