Building rpms with HDP source

I am sure that this has been covered before, but I cannot find an answer to it.  I am trying to build the Hadoop rpms for the repository.  I have a change I need to put in for our cluster arrangement.  I installed the rpm setup from the *src.rpm.  When I run it I get a message that the file HDP_COMPONENT_VARIABLES.sh cannot be found.  I looked for it in the repository tar balls but could not find it there either.

I need to build for SLES.

Hi Waldyn,

Ambari itself does not make any references to or have any knowledge about
HDP_COMPONENT_VARIABLES.sh.
I'm trying to understand what you did.
You've made changes to some Hadoop source, created your own Hadoop (or
ecosystem component) RPMs, and you are trying to deploy it via Ambari and
getting the "HDP_COMPONENT_VARIABLES.sh cannot be found" error?
