---------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Sebb,
A piece of work is underway to flatten the dist tree to a single WC and thus a single .revision file.
> Should .revision files be svn:ignored under dist/release SVN?

>
> Key: INFRA-8757

>
> The dist mirrors contain .revision files in every separate checkout.
> I think these are created as part of the svnpubsub process.
> They are quite useful when checking the progress of mirrors.
> However, they are not currently ignored in SVN, so show up as unversioned files when checking the status.
> If they were ignored, it would then be much easier to see if any genuine updates have been missed.
> This would allow a simple independent check on whether svnpubsub has had any problems.
