All menu components still require a renderer in org.apache.myfaces.adfinternal.renderkit.core.xhtml package. This change seems to be priorized over bug fixing and component improvements, so it should be done asap.

Some background information...
The NavigationLevel (soon to be renamed to NavigationPane) and NavigationPath components are intended to replace the old MenuBar/Buttons/Choice/List/Tabs and MenuPath components respectively. I believe these Navigation* components are faces major already. The only big missing feature that I know of is stamping support but perhaps in their current state they could serve useful for you.
Also, we still need to create a NavigationTree component before the Menu* components can be fully deprecated or killed.

Interesting, it does seem that NavigationLevel was made to include what were menuTabs, menuBar, menuList, etc. But menuList does not seem to be supported at this time, so the issue still hold, but differently, it should be add list support to NavigationLevel.
