[jira] Commented: (MRM-1156) Unable to open an Archiva repository as web folder (via Network Places) in Windows

Maria Odea Ching commented on MRM-1156:
---------------------------------------

Found this while I was digging around:

http://issues.liferay.com/browse/LEP-4920

It looks similar to our problem in Archiva. I tried the same solution of setting the additional properties in the request but it didn't work.
I'm also to open and browse the Archiva dav repository using a different Windows webdav client (BitKinex).

> -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: MRM-1156
> URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1156
> Project: Archiva
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: WebDAV interface
> Affects Versions: 1.1.3, 1.2
> Environment: Windows XP, Archiva 1.2 release
> Reporter: Wendy Smoak
>
> To reproduce:
> 1. Open Internet Explorer 6
> 2. Choose File -> Open
> 3. Enter the url of an Archiva hosted repo, such as http://localhost:8080/archiva/repository/internal/
> 4. check the 'Open as Web Folder' checkbox
> 5. click OK
> Result:
> Dialog box with "Internet Explorer could not open http://localhost:8080/archiva/repository/internal/ as a Web Folder. Would you like to see its default view instead?"
> The expected result is to open the url as a webdav folder which allows adding/removing files.
> There is nothing in either the archiva.log or stderr log files.
