These changes are trivial. I'm just putting them up here to make sure the build and full ITs still work fine. That weird minicluster properties file was not referenced anywhere, but maybe an IT used it indirectly... I don't think so, but I'll run the full ITs and check back tomorrow before merging this.

The ITs didn't have any trouble building without that missing minicluster.properties file, so it definitely was vestigial. Looking in the history, it looks like it was added as an example, but never actually used anywhere.
