How to start, can I use glassfish

Hi guys!,

I am considering venturing into Aries for these reasons.

We have an Enterprise app consisting of web module, ejb module and app
client. Our challenge is to make it MODULARIZED along the lines of
features so that we can deploy this app to various clients based on
the features they need. And easily updated with new features with out
tampering with the running app.

My question is: Is Apache Aries a good choice here? How do I get
started? Are there any books to read? Which app server is the best to
use?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

You can choose Apache Geronimo http://geronimo.apache.org/. Apache Aries is
integrated into Apache Geronimo 3.0, an application server, supporting both
Java EE and OSGI.

Hi Mumuney,
If you're wanting to work with both EJB and OSGi, Glassfish is
probably your best bet today. Apache Aries may not yet be what you
want: I don't believe that it's been integrated into an application
server in a form that supports combined OSGi/EJB applications.

Mark
