Errror compiling large JSP pages on Solaris 7
Summary: Errror compiling large JSP pages on Solaris 7
Product: Tomcat 3
Version: 3.3.1 Final
Platform: Sun
OS/Version: Solaris
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: Other
Component: Unknown
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: pfederico@skygeo.com
An error occurs when compiling a big JSP page that produced a .java file of
size >150k. On solaris JDK1.4.1_01 gives compilation errors like:
variable foo may not have been initialized
see message http://www.caucho.com/support/resin-interest/0203/0288.html for
resin that seem to have thje same problem.
It seems that deprecated method sun.tools.javac.Main does not work with large
java sources
