[Bug 5368] New: Blocking network users from emailing within network
http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5368
Summary: Blocking network users from emailing within network
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.orgco.com:2082/frontend/x/mail/email.html
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: spamassassin
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: pmccabe@orgco.com
We use SpamAssassin on our CPanelX mail frontend. Our office network is a
simple Windows XP netwrok. Some of our interoffice emails are getting
spammed. I've even whitelisted the user to no effect.
The user is my boss and I'm not getting emails. Some things come through,
some do not. For some reason today a forwarded joke was received but an
important Word doc was not.
This is a CRITICAL problem.

------- Additional Comments From felicity@apache.org 2007-03-06 09:54 -------
SpamAssassin merely marks up messages, it does not (and can not) block or
otherwise stop delivery of messages.
I'd discuss this issue with the cPanel folks, or any vendor where you got your
anti-spam setup from.
