[jira] Commented: (QPID-1895) qpidc: Solaris 10 Build Incorrectly
Assumes Sun Compiler
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-1895?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12717679#action_12717679 ]
Manuel Teira commented on QPID-1895:
------------------------------------
Strange. Since the conditions to be reached in order to assume SunCC are:
AC_CHECK_DECL([__SUNPRO_CC], [SUNCC=yes], [SUNCC=no])
# Set up for sun CC compiler
if test x$SUNCC = xyes; then
And __SUNPRO_CC should only be declared when the Sun Studio is used to compile. Are you sure that an existing Sun Studio is not interfering into your configuration attempts?

> Key: QPID-1895
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-1895
> Project: Qpid
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Build Tools, C++ Broker, C++ Client
> Affects Versions: 0.5
> Environment: Solaris 10
> Sparcv9
> GCC-4.3.2 (Blastwave)
> Boost-1.38.0
> Reporter: Rob Riggs
>
> When building on Solaris 10/sparcv9 with GCC-4.3.2, the autoconf system adds -lCrun and $(SUN_CC_RUNTIMELIBS) to the linker args. These are compiler-dependent libraries, not OS-specific ones. This is only appropriate when compiling with Sun Studio.
