jmeter scripts running in different URL's

We have two different URL’s with same code base.

We created  JMeter scripts with one URL. 
In that scripts, if I replaced that URL,with another URL,the scripts are not
running.

Is there any best practise to make jmeter scripts running in different
URL's.
