@jihoonson : Any thoughts about considering making the supervisor task responsible for serving intermediary data during shuffle instead of the Middlemanager process ?
I see MMs as very lightweight process responsible for spawning, monitoring and cleaning up intermediate stuff and not handling the data itself.
