[jira] [Commented] (GEODE-3207) Swagger library updates: update user guide

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-3207?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16087673#comment-16087673 ]

Dave Barnes commented on GEODE-3207:
------------------------------------

The Geode property "start-dev-rest-api" still exists and can be used in the ".properties" file.
The gfsh equivalent is the "start server --start-rest-api" option.
The user guide should acknowledge the former, but emphasize the latter.

> Doc impact (from a talk with Kevin Duling, 10/20/2016). See page http://geode.docs.pivotal.io/docs/rest_apps/using_swagger.html, "Using the Swagger UI to Browse REST APIs".
> Step 1 example showing gfsh command line to start Geode. Replace "--J=-Dgemfire.start-dev-rest-api=true" with "--start-rest-api".
> Delete "--J=-Dgemfire.http-service-bind-address=localhost"
> Delete both "jmx-manager" options
> Step 2, replace "localhost" with a placeholder for "this machine's default IP address".
