Extension dependencies with the standalone launcher?

It looks like right now none of the extensions that have dependencies work
in the standalone launcher unless all the dependencies are explicitly listed
in the extension SCDL with <dependency> elements.

Whats the intention here for M2, is the maven transitive dependency stuff
used by the webapp launcher going to also be added to the standalone
launcher?
