The Rampart configuration elements <signatureCrypto>, <encryptionCrypto>, and <decryptionCrypto> all use a child <crypto> element which identifies the provider with an attribute and contains various properties. The rampart-config.xsd shows these configuration elements as being of *type* ramp:crypto, and that *type* contains a sequence of <property> elements. There's no <crypto> *element* in the schema.
