Unfortunately won't fix for 2.7.x, already been resolved for 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT where the implementation is being finalized (some work on the fluent client API remains). I agree some migration effort will need to be undertaken when moving from m10 to final, but IMHO it should be a minor one
