Internal Servlet Error (RedHat6.2,postgresql7.0.2-2, Tomcat3.1)
I have RedHat 6.2, postgresql-7.0.2-2, and Jakarta-Tomcat 3.1 and
installed and working fine separately. When I attempt to connect toi
the database via a .jsp, I get :
Internal Servlet Error
javax.servlet.ServletException: Unable to load class postgresql.Driver
and
Root cause:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Unable to load class postgresql.Driver
I have jdbc7.0.2-2.jar in my various classpaths.
The older docs mentioned posgresql.jar but the newer docs don't.
Do I need postgresql.jar in my classpath and if I do where is it?
Is there another .rpm I need to install or is what I want
(postgresql.Driver) hidden somewere else?
Thanks for any help,
Tom Birchmire

The postgres-Driver was renamed from 'postgresql.Driver' to
'org.postgresql.Driver'.

Thanks Matt and John for telling me about the rename; now I'm on to premission
denied errors.

Try loading org.postgresql.Driver, rather than postgresql.Driver. That's the name
in jdbc7.0-1.2.jar, anyway. You can check the pathname with
"jar tf jdbc7.0.2-2.jar | grep Driver" .
