Windows tests failing all over the place

Well, now that the test suite can be built on Windows, I have some partial
results.  They aren't good.  I haven't had anytime to debug what is
happening, so this could be coding problems in the suite.

Currently, We can run four tests before the testmmap tests seg fault.  I
am hoping to have more time to look into these later today.
