Translation error not being raised by Jasper if a JSP document has mismatched encodings specified in the XML prolog and the pageEncoding attribute of the page directive
Summary: Translation error not being raised by Jasper if a JSP
document has mismatched encodings specified in the XML
prolog and the pageEncoding attribute of the page
directive
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: Nightly Build
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: Other
Component: Jasper2
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: Ryan.Lubke@Sun.COM
JSP.4.1 states a translation error must occur of the encoding specified by the
XML prolog and the encoding specified by the pageEncoding attribute of the page
directive do not match.
This worked in the previous nightly build, but is now failing.
