Ah-ha! It's not just me. Please let me know when we debug this and find a solution: I have certain test 
files that trap like this in a fileChecker I have, but only with specific kinds of xml 
content.
Oh: I presume you're using the 2.4.D1 build as-is, with it's included version of 
xercesImpl.jar, correct?
