Script component problem

When i try to use the Script component (@Script) make a menu tree as follow:
<html><body>
<table>
    <tr>
        <td>
        <span jwcid="@Script" script="menu.script"/>
        </td>
    </tr>
</table>
</body></html>

The problem is the render page is showed the menu tree isn't in the table as follow:

<html><body>
<span jwcid="@Script" script="menu.script"/>
<table>
    <tr>
        <td>
        </td>
    </tr>
</table>
</body></html>

Can anyone can suggest the idea to me, i am a beginner for using tapestry.... thanks
