[jira] [Created] (KARAF-4438) Define the max.request.size on the
kafka appender configuration, and increase the default value
Jean-Baptiste Onofré created KARAF-4438:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Define the max.request.size on the kafka appender configuration, and increase the default value
Key: KARAF-4438
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-4438
Project: Karaf
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: decanter
Reporter: Jean-Baptiste Onofré
Assignee: Jean-Baptiste Onofré
Fix For: decanter-1.1.0
The Decanter Kafka appender doesn't expose the max.request.size property. In some case (for instance when having really large JMX MBean attributes), the appender fails with:
{code}
org.apache.kafka.common.errors.RecordTooLargeException: The message is 1508555 bytes when serialized which is larger than the maximum request size you have configured with the max.request.size configuration.
{code}
I will expose the max.request.size property to allow users to increase the size.
On the other hand, I double the default value.
