and apparently the problem is contagious and has infected your bug report. ;)
we cannot answer your "why?" unless you give a little bit of "when" and "what"
information. what are you trying to do when it "stops rendering without info"?
oh, and this also happens to be a question you should ask on the user list.
(since you are having trouble "using" velocity and have not (yet) identified a
bug or requested an enhancement. :)
