   @garrensmith now behaviour is different than i expected.
   when query for db.get('_id'):
   
   **Expecting**
   .then() and .catch() run as usual with promises.
   
   **Getting**
   when 'doc' with '_id' not found
   TypeError: Cannot read property 'then' of undefined
   
   Even after this error your travis build is passing. Kindly correct it.
   Although getting expected result in callback mechanism
