   @cloud-fan, I guess we could make it work if we really want by extending `AliasAwareOutputOrdering` to also cover casts like @viirya mentioned and adding more rules like `RemoveRedundantSorts` that would operate on physical plans.
   
   I am not sure we will gain anything that way but I am open to considering that.
