Does anyone have any good examples of recursion using tags ?

Does anyone have any good examples of recursion using <nested:iterate> tags ?
Not the monkey-tree example, as I can't seem to get that to work :(

Unless someone has a good idead as to why it (and my own attempts) might
be throwing this exception:

This is using last nights build. Any help would be appreciated. Also, any
good examples using tiles and nesting together would be good. An example
with recursively nested tiles would be perfect :)
