[users@httpd] non-english-filename PDF files

Hi there!!

I have an Apache web server which is basically a document database.
However, when I try to access a PDF file whose filename is in Greek, I get
an empty page.
I do not have this problem with other filenames in Greek, for example DOC or
HTM files.
When I access an english-filename PDF, then evereything is ok

thanks in advance

This is not the case.

The problem occurs only with pdf files and apache.
If I use a doc file with a greek filename, it's ok
If I use a pdf file with a greek filename and IIS, it's ok

The problem persists.

Only with greek-filename PDF files.

I'm thinking of a workaround: How can I force the system to always ask the
user whether he wants to save the file? This has to be done on the server
side.

Non-ASCII characters must be url-encoded before being included in a
URL. See, for example:
http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm

they say that there is no such file, having the filename using unprintable
characters.
It seems that when the filename is in Greek and PDF, then apache can't
interpret it
