SMTP Appender - add attachment to ErrMail ?

Hi,

does anybody have a good idea about adding an attachment (ie other Logfile) to 
an error-email created by the SMTP appender ?

maybe there's a good way to do it without customizing the SMTP appender
or using the java mail api to create a second mail ?

any ideas appreciated ...
