1.4-M1 Release
Hello,
I'd like to release a 1.4-M1 within weeks (2/3). So certainly some
jira will be move from 1.4-M1 to M2.
I have started some release on dependencies we have :
* on Maven land (vote for maven-indexer started, next week will start
a release for wagon)
* redback : no problem to wait a vote :-)
* jackarabbit : will be next week (see
http://markmail.org/message/uk2g7qqshbojrl7q )
I will work on a nice feature I'd like to see in this release
(https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1524 ).
Then some docs especially on REST services (see
http://archiva.apache.org/docs/1.4-SNAPSHOT/adminguide/webservices/rest.html)
I like the idea about using snippet from unit tests)
Let me know if it looks fine ?
Thanks,

I'm ok with releasing now, but we should probably limit how much we advertise it at first. I'd really like to do some more exhaustive testing on the metadata repository with a large repository. Each milestone can go a bit wider if we release regularly.
I updated the release notes. I noted that the new style has some glitches though - like the <<< pre-formatted inline text >>> is not a fixed width?

So only 4 issues left.
Do we move those to 1.4-M2 ? (as this release include some changes we
will have probably some issues to fix not too much I hope :-) ).
I have started working on the release notes:
http://people.apache.org/~olamy/archiva/docs/1.4-M1-SNAPSHOT/release-notes.html
(btw jira issues not included as I'm not sure about the 4)
I will release redback to not have any more snapshot deps.
WDYT ?
