no need to reinvent the wheel. there are so many solutions out there why not just implement one of them into pdfbox. for example
this project [https://github.com/danfickle/openhtmltopdf] is using pdfbox and I don't know how it managed to do so, visit this [showcase|https://openhtmltopdf.com/showcase.pdf]
