[book] 404 error for URL typo in svn source code
Mail to webmaster@red-beam.com told me "Unrouteable address" so I'll
direct this comment here.
-----
Greetings,
As I was coming up to speed with svn I encountered in at least one place
a typo of the URL for the subversion book. The proper URL os of course:
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/
The typo I saw in the svn source used svn-book and gave a 404. While
this seems to have been fixed in the latest version 1.0.5. the 1.0 code
that many people (like me) have installed had this in it. I highly
recommend that this particular 404 be redirected to the main page. I
feel that this will help many newbie svn users and administrators who
might already be anxious about using a new version control system.
Thanks for your attention.
Regards,

That means I'd also have to setup a CNAME in the DNS zone files for
red-bean.com... however, I haven't registered svn-book.[org|net|com],
so I'd really prefer not to.... I think that this sort of thing
promotes confusion rather than reduces it.
Lastly, if you go to Google, type in "Subversion Book" and hit "I'm
feeling lucky", you wind up in the right place, so I don't think it's
that hard for people to find the book.

Hi Brian, thanks for your prompt reply. My apologies to all, my typos
are rampant it seems. I also did not note down exactly where I saw the
reference. You can be sure I'll be more careful next time. I made the
effort to report the problem because I wanted to help provide every
possible convience for users in adopting svn.
My searches (find . -print0 | xargs -r -0 grep -i -l svn-book) of the
sources also showed no error, yet it couldn't hurt to add a redirect
directive in httpd.conf just in case others make similar mistakes to
mine.
+ Redirect http://svn-book.red-bean.com http://svnbook.red-bean.com
Sorry for the wasted bandwidth. Keep up the good work.

First, red-beam.com (beam with an M) is a typo. Second, this list is
the place to report the error (whether for the book *or* for
Subversion's source).

I can't find 'svn-book.red-bean', 'svn-book.org', 'svn-book.net', or
'svn-book.com' anywhere in the Subversion source under the tag for
1.0.0. Can you point me to the exact file or files?
