How To Content Import/i18n namespace

I am have trouble importing an xml file into the authoring area of Lenya
using the instructions found here:
http://wiki.apache.org/lenya/HowToContentImport

I suspect an error in sitetree.xml because when I view/edit the file in
XMLSPY it does not validate against the schema.  The error reads: 

Unexpected attribute 'i18n:attr' in element 'site'.  

That suggests something is amiss with the namespace declaration: 

xmlns:i18n="http://apache.org/cocoon/i18n/2.1"

But I haven't been able to track it down.  Any ideas?
