I am getting the same error when parsing XML from an EPOS till. Happens about once a day in the live environment but unable to recreate in a test environment.

I'm sure the XML is well-formed. Has anybody any ideas yet ?

> Intermittent error on validating XML. The same XML structure can be successfully parsed at a later time.
> Occurs mostly when JVM is busy handling other XML servers (up to 10 in singleThreaded mode).
> Running in singleThreadedMode as Xerces 2.6.2 is not proving to be thread safe.
