There was a problem for the longest time with FreeBSD and its 
autoconf 2.5x port.  We finally got them to commit the fix a while 
back.  I believe it burned httpd more than SVN because we relied on 
config_commands section of the AC_OUTPUT macro.  That portion of 
their autoconf port was incorrectly tweaked.  -- justin
