The following should work when launched from within Eclipse, IntelliJ and also from `mvn spring-boot:run` and when actually deployed to a container packaged as a war file.

1) Static resources should be served from
 * src/main/resources
 * src/main/webapp

2) supported url patterns should be made configurable
 * default  *.css, *.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.svg, *.js, *.html, *.swf
