AxisServlet destory method has hard coded the org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager class name which causes a class not found exception at server shutdown.

            }
        } catch (AxisFault axisFault) {
            log.info(axisFault.getMessage());
        }
        try {
            super.destroy();
        } catch (Exception e) {

        // shutdown of the connection manager. If we want to avoid a resource leak, we need to call
        // shutdownAll here.
        try {
            Class.forName("org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager").getMethod("shutdownAll").invoke(null);
        } catch (Exception ex) {
            log.error("Failed to shut down MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager", ex);
        }
