Constant

Hi all!

I have a query where I'm adding some numbers to some other (constant)
number. This constant is a parameter passed to the XML through a post
method in another XML. I want to write the line
<request:get-parameter-values .../> only once, that's why I need to
declare some constant. How can I do that?
Please with some examples, thanx
